Anderson = similar player to Liam Brady
Reminds me of Liam Brady. The way he runs with the ball mainly - kind of casual but deceptively quick. Also the range of passing and shooting ability. And general laid back demeanour.

Now, if he made a similar spelling mistake to the Paqueta thread, he could have pretended that he meant Liam Broady the tennis player.

It's too early to make a comparison like this.

I think people are going a bit overboard. He's improving as the whole team has against poor opposition. When he's tearing holes in Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs or Arsenal then I'll get more excited.

Arsenal away was one of his best games

Brady would never have scored that goal v Palace. He had a useless stump where Anderson has a right foot.

Giles along with Sourness two of the dirtiest players in the 70's.

Bit like Johnny Giles then?

Brady although being a silky midfielder he had a nasty streak about him... he never minded leaving his foot in that's for sure...

Karren Brady more like.

Said on here a few months back that he's the nearest player I have seen to Devo'... still a bit to go mind you but got a lot of his characteristics of Devo in his pomp...

I loved watching Liam Brady. Was old and past it and after we was relegated he was one of our best players in his final season before retiring.

Anderson does have some of the Brady's about him.

Re: Anderson = similar player to Liam Brady
The way that he so casually pushes his first touch past a player and glides by them is astonishing. He is a player that makes things look very easy.

I do get the similarity between him doing that and Brady. Although Brady was, for me, more of a traditional playmaker sitting in central and pulling the strings.

Mourihno would ruin this bloke, he's staying put until May anyway.

Agreed, after watching his skills on the highlights again and from the Burnley game onwards on YouTube if he continues I can see a massive offer coming in probably Man U in the Summer

Long way to go before you can talk about him being anything like Brady when he played for Arsenal.

Re: Anderson = similar player to Liam Brady
I am trying to think of a player who runs so fast while dribbling. I also think he'd be even better if some of our players could actually read what he does, His footballing brain is brilliant, he's a second in front of everyone else. What worries me is if he keeps playing at this level a huge offer will come in for him

Mick McCarthy is attempting to persuade Anderson to commit his future to Ireland in tribute. Along with Declan and O'Biang.

Re: Anderson = similar player to Liam Brady
I saw Brady play live a load of times when he was at his peak BCS they used to always play home when WH were away. Friend's dad took us when I was a kid. Way Anderson moves/surges forwards reminds me of Brady - kind of same deceptive speed - whether he ends up being as good rains to be seen
